History

1987

founding as “Bernd Hoffmann Bauprofile”.
products: Stainless Steel and Aluminium profiles.
patents: Stainless steel tile

1991

Change of Companyname to “HOBA STEEL PRODUCTS”. Productname “SPIN” becomes brand name for high quality stainless steel tiles. Attendance at international trade faires, first success of SPIN tiles at business premises areas (shopping centres).

1993

Establishment of GmbH: HOBA STEEL GmbH, SPIN Tile production reaches 50% of the total volume of production.

2000

registering SPIN ® brand name. The production includes more than 300 formats and designs. Profile production is abandoned.

2001

SPIN ® is almost worldwide represented by sales representatives and dealers. International fairs and exhibitions are used as presentation area.

2003

Introduction of the new product line “SPIN MOSAIC”, and the new surface, “SPIN PEARL”.

2004

SPIN ® conquers the Spanish market: Widespread introduction of stainless steel tiles and presentation at the CEVISAMA, Valencia.

2005

New product group SPON ® – tiles of natural stone is introduced. First series of natural slate tiles. SPIN SHOWER: A series of elements for the shower floor installation is introduced to the market.

2011

New Website, New product series SPON LAUCA and SPON Atacama are introduced. SPIN Croco as new surface
